On starting Maidenhill School, students are placed into one for four Communities. Within each tutor group there is a mix of the four communities and these are also overseen by Year 11 student leaders and Year 10 sports leaders. The communities also have equally representation on our Student Council.

Our community system works together vertically across the school to bring students of different ages together to support school life in different ways. This may be through charity events, sports competitions, academic mentoring or pastoral support.   

Having recently switched our tutoring system to horizontal from vertical communities all the time,  we are looking at exploring new ways our students can work and develop together across the full age range of the school to benefit all and make a positive contribution to our school community as a whole.
